eve and cooking: CHICKEN WITH TOMATOES AND
In a large pot, heat oil and sauté onion and garlic. Add chicken, tomatoes, red pepper, parsley, paprika, saffron, and 1/2 cup water. Cover and cook about an hour (until chicken is thoroughly cooked and just beginning to shred when handled much), stirring occasionally.
Add water as necessary to keep mixture wet and saucy (maybe 2 cups total by the end of the process). Add potatoes, carrots/parsnips, and peas and cook for another 20-30 minutes, or until potatoes and carrots are completely cooked. Salt and pepper as you like.
Now, if you want to eat in authentic Moroccan style, dish onto a large plate and serve with lots of bread (something crusty like French works well).
Using the bread as the only untensil, everyone eats out of their section of the plate (using the right hand only). Wow, a culture where playing in your food is the norm!
eve and make up:lip make up tricks
Moist, smooth lips hold color best. Stay pucker-pretty by following these basic tips for healthy lips:
Give dry, flaky lips the brush-off; add "brushing your lips" to your morning ritual using a soft toothbrush or terry washcloth. Now add some lip balm to smooth the way for lipstick-worthy lips!
Sexier Looking Lips
To make your lips look fuller and sexier, especially if you have thin lips, line lips first with lipliner then use light-coloured or neutral-shade lipsticks. Pale shades make lips look fuller.
Finish with a shimmer-gloss for Party-wear. To enhance a pout, dab a silver/shiny lip-gloss onto the centre of your lower lip.
Altering Lip Contours
Want lips that pout? Apply lipstick except in the centre of the mouth. Apply a lighter shade in the centre of the mouth and touch it up with lip gloss.
For thinner lips apply foundation on the lips and outline lips with a lip pencil (within the natural lip line). Fill in lipstick with a lip brush. To make thin lips look fuller, apply foundation on mouth area. Use a lip pencil to outline the lips just beyond the natural lip line and fill in with desired colour
Longer Lasting Lipstick
Here is a Hollywood trade secret used by myself and many celebrity make up artists:
Apply foundation over lips first
Apply lip liner to lips and fill in lipstick with a lip brush
Bite onto a piece of tissue and blot lips
Dust lips lightly with translucent powder
Apply final coat of lipstick
eves and make up:eye make up tricks
If you want to make your eyes look bigger and more open then you will want to use this trick. First of all you will want to line your top lash line with an eye liner. Then you will want to only line half of your lower lash line. Start at the outside edge of your lower lash line and sweep the line to the center of your lash line.
Close-set Eyes
You can’t literally make your eyes closer if they’re set wider apart than you’d like, but you can create the illusion. Here’s how:
Color your lids with a light eyeshadow.
Apply a medium tone shadow to the inner corner of your eyelids and blend the color all the way to the outer lid.
Apply eyeliner all the way
Highlight
When you are creating a fresh natural look, or when you are trying for a smoky eye, you will want to use a light tone to highlight the area of your eye right below your eye brow. If you are trying for a natural look then you will want to use a soft eye color shade like pink, peach, or beige depending on your skin tone. If you are trying for a smoky look then you will want to use a light shade eye shadow that compliments the darker tones that you are using.ross your lids and follow with mascara.
ROUND EYES
To make round eyes look less round, extend shadow/liner at the outer edge of the eye to lengthen. Line the entire eye with the thickness being at the outer edge of the eye. Highlight under the eyebrows and the top of cheekbone by the eye to sharpen this effect. An arched brow shape increases the effect. Example: Star Jones, Oprah Winfrey
eve and fitness:relax help you to lose weight
Relax help you to lose weight
We briefly noted yoga in the list of Things to Do above, and that brings us to another key influence of your metabolism: stress.
Believe it or not, but experts are now telling us that stress can send unwanted signals to our body; signals that lead to slower metabolism.
Essentially, what happens is that when the body is under constant stress, it releases stress hormones that flood the system.
These stress-related hormones actually tell the body to create larger fat cells in the abdomen. The result can be both increased weight (through increased fat cells), and a slower metabolism.
Obviously, these are two very negative factors in the quest to boost metabolism and lose weight. The last thing that we want is more and bigger fat cells in our abdomen, coupled with a diminished metabolism!
Yet this is, tragically, what happens to many people who experience constant, continuous stress. And, alas, this is many people; especially those of us who have to balance so many competing objectives, such as work, family, and other vital tasks.
So the advice here is indeed to “relax and chill out”, and there are some simple techniques that can, and should, be added to your life.
These include walking more, listening to relaxing music, meditation, yoga, eating non-stimulating foods.
as you’ll soon learn, it’s not merely what you eat that matters; it’s when, and how, too.

moroccan hammam(shower)

Create the Moroccan hammam experience in your own home
While I can't whisk you away for a hammam in Morocco, I have put together a few simple steps that you can follow in your own bathroom so you can enjoy some of the beauty benefits of the hammam ritual and feel thoroughly pampered.
This is probably best done in the shower or stood in the bath, as lots of water is used in the hammam ritual.
- Moroccan black soap – this soap is made from the kernel of the olive nut and has wonderful exfoliating properties

- A Moroccan scrubbing mitt called a gome - this course mitt will effectively remove all your dead skin cells, and increase the circulation in your arms and legs, helping to reduce cellulite. A very handy glove

- A Moroccan foot scrub (optional) - this little terracotta foot scrub will remove hard skin from your heels faster than anything I know.
- Rhassoul - this wonder clay, mined from deep within the Atlas Mountains, has a list of benefits as long as your arm

- Rose water (optional) - will make you feel like a Moroccan princess.
- Mint tea
- Start by making sure your bathroom is warm and have several large fluffy towels to hand and a glass of cold mineral water.
- Wet your skin with warm water and, starting on your legs, apply the black soap working into your skin in circular motions. Move from your legs to arms and then your middle.
- Rinse your skin with lots of warm water.
- Re-apply black soap and rub your skin with the mitt, working more vigorously on the area where cellulite may gather.
- Rinse your skin with lots of warm water.
- Sitting on the edge of the bath, generously apply black soap to your feet and run the foot scrub over your heels.
- Rinse with warm water.
- Make the rhassoul into a thick clay pack and apply to your body and face, you can even apply it to your hair.
- Wait for 5 minutes as the clay works its magic on your

skin. - Rinse off with lots of warm water.
- Drink some cool mineral water.
- Drizzle some diluted rose water over your skin and pat dry.
- Wrap yourself in the largest fluffiest towel you own and sit down and enjoy a glass of Moroccan mint tea!
eve and fitness:calories
Calories
Calories are simply units of measure. They aren’t actually things in and of themselves; they are labels for other things, just like how an inch really isn’t anything, but it measures the distance between two points.
So what do calories measure?
Easy: they measure energy.
